PROPOSED AMENDMENTS IN SECTION 35 AND 35-A WITH INSERTION OF NEW SECTIONS 35-B AND 35-C IN CIVIL PROCEDURE CODE, 1908
GOVERNMENT OF LAW AND JUSTICE DIVISION ***** COMMENTS ON PROPOSED AMENDMENTS. The Prime Minister has constituted a Law Reforms Committee under the Chairmanship of Federal Minister for Law and Justice to consider the existing provision of various Laws and to propose amendments in order to expedite the disposal of cases and also to discourage unnecessary litigation. 2. In the recent meeting of the Committee, Sections 35 and 35A of the Civil Procedure Code, 1908 was considered and appropriate amendments have been proposed by the Committee with the objective to discourage false and vexatious litigations and payment of costs to other party in case of unnecessary litigation. 3. The proposed amendments are placed on the website of Ministry of Law and Justice (www.molaw.gov.pk) for seeking suggestions on the proposed amendments from the legal fraternity and other stakeholders. 4. The suggestions are invited from the stakeholders on or before 16:00 hours 31-05-2016 either to via post or through email.
